A bump under the skin, he hasn't arrived yet but he's already changed your entire life. Now you'll have nickname that will stick. Now you're going to be working 24 hours a day, everyday even on holidays, for the next 18 years (minimum). Now you're the boss, and you help form this next life. 

You'll want him to be good, and listen. To continue living on your name, and become greater than you. Can you believe you've created a life? Can you believe that life has all the potential in the world, at this moment in time? Oh why isn't he here yet? You want to meet him, to see his eyes, to hear his first cry, feel his strong grasp on your finger.

Mother, and father. Can you believe that's your names now? A small boy hugs your insides, listening to your heart beat, to your muffled voices, and already loves you. Soon he'll be here, listening to your voice, nuzzling you for milk, and your muffled heart beat.

"Pure." "Beautiful." "Perfect." they will all say, and it's true. Did you ever think you could make anything that so many people would be proud of and want to talk about? You must be glowing, and dad must be bragging.

You dream of his first day of school, while his dad dreams of catch in the yard.

Congratulations, you're a parent now, even though he's not here. You've already watched him grow, fed him, and protected him. At this moment, we may call you mommy-to-be, but you've been a mother all along.

A day with the family, it's something I've really needed. I can't tell you the last time I was on a swing, but today I was pushing my niece, when she asked me to joined her. I watched her learn how to swing by herself, by watching my feet. Now she didn't get high, and slowed down a lot, but she did it, and I was there.

That little one up there is my niece, we did a mini shoot out in her backyard, and I couldn't be happier with how they turned out.

Notice something different about this photo? It's a lot clearer, and crisper. That would be because I upgraded. I got my very first DSLR, and I couldn't be happier; I will be getting more lenses, and more memory for it soon, too.

I'm full of turkey, pie, and ideas. The maternity session is this Sunday, and mommy-to-be is giving me all sorts of ideas. So you will have a cute photo or two to see next post.

My name is Ashley, I'm a photographer, about to be a wife, and I'm a huge

animal lover. Two of my favorite things in the world would be baby feet and

pregnancy bellies.

If you've seen a lot of my work, you'll notice that this photo has a logo of "By AshleysHomeSpun" and my other logo is "Ashley Christine" they are both correct. One is just before I had my Ashley Christine registered, it is now. Most on my website, will only have a watermark on it but some will be mix.

Why not just change the logo? or get rid of them both completely?

While I can get rid of my Ashley Christine logo, I can't really change the "By Ashley Christine" at this moment. It's a long story but it ends with a computer crashing and my edits all disappearing. It was really disappointing but I do have all the originals, but thousands of hours went into those photos, and I decided that moving forward was the best options, at this time.

Now there is another reason that big, beautiful , belly is beaming at you. I'm going to be having another maternity shoot coming up very soon and I'm extremely excited about it. I've been working the details with the mommy-to-be ever since she found out she was expecting.So I'm very much ready for it.

She is expecting a lil boy, but that's all I will say until the, "Welcome, to the world" shoot takes place. Yes I'll be doing her maternity and newborn shoot; pictures of both will arrive on the blog. But first we need to get the belly shots, then wait for little man's arrival.
